Yes, motorcycle touring in Saudi Arabia is highly safe when riding with a guided expedition. Our tours feature certified local ride captains who know the regional traffic patterns, a 4x4 support vehicle equipped with medical kits, and pre-mapped routes that avoid heavy commercial traffic to ensure maximum rider safety.
Saudi traffic law mandates that all riders and passengers wear a securely fastened, certified motorcycle helmet. For our tours, we also highly recommend full riding gear, including a ventilated mesh jacket, protective gloves, and riding boots to handle the desert climate safely.
Weather varies significantly across Saudi Arabia’s regions: • Northern routes (Tabuk, AlUla, Hail): Best ridden November–February with temperatures between 8°C–22°C. Nights can be cold, so layered riding gear is essential. • Central routes (Riyadh, Ad-Diriyah): Ideal October–March with mild days around 20°C–28°C. • Southern routes (Abha, Asir Mountains, Jizan): Comfortable year-round with temperatures rarely exceeding 30°C, and refreshing mountain mist in summer.
Saudi Arabia offers a riding experience unlike anywhere else in the world. You’ll pass through ancient Nabataean cities, terraced mountain villages, vast golden deserts, and dramatic canyon roads — all within a single tour. Hospitality is deeply rooted in Saudi culture, and riders are often welcomed warmly by locals in small towns and rest stops. Our Road Captains are locals who bring the history, stories, and hidden gems of every region to life as you ride.
